Too many rural communities lack a safe water source and basic sanitation, exposing children to disease and keeping girls out of school.
We bring water closer to homes and schools, and work with communities to end open defecation and embed lasting hygiene habits.
What we do
Our focus on the ground
Water access & infrastructure
We drill boreholes, connect water to facilities, and distribute water tanks to households so families no longer walk for hours to find a clean drink.
Sanitation & ending open defecation
We build latrines and handwashing stations for schools and communities, and support remote rural areas to stop the practice of open defecation.
Hygiene campaigns & clean-ups
Through child clubs and government programmes we run hand-washing campaigns, environmental clean-ups, and waste management.

Smiling Periods: dignity for schoolgirls
Alongside boreholes and handwashing stations, our WASH teams distribute re-usable sanitary packages so girls don’t miss school during their periods.
